This is a beautiful home, recently renovated, and perfect for a large group! We really appreciated all of the space to spread out. We had plenty of room for our large family. The pool was a "glorious" place to cool off in the evenings, the hot tub is a perfect spot for late-night conversations, and the views are spectacular.
Everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked and there was nothing we needed that wasn't provided.
Note the warning that this cabin is "Mountain Cooled." That means that the indoor temperatures are going to hover within ten to fifteen degrees of the outside temperatures at all times.
Despite all of the provided fans and a swamp cooler running, it was uncomfortably warm during the daytime hours during our stay. Evenings cooled off some, but as soon as the temps outside got above 80, the home did too. We followed the recommendations for closing blinds and windows as soon as the sun was up, and that helped, but not enough. The design of the cabin floor space and east-facing windows makes it pretty much impossible to get any kind of cross breeze going in the main living area.
This home is NOT a good option for any guests with crawling babies or toddlers who cannot navigate stairs safely. There are multiple flights of stairs between the levels of this home.
We also recommend that you double-check the number of available parking spaces in advance, and if you entertain guests, don't assume that everyone will understand the toilet flushing rules. Even though there are signs posted explaining this pretty clearly, guests sometimes don't understand or assume they are the exception.
